Follow: How  would you say your female characteristics have contributed to the construction of your personality? Does the androgynous beauty can affect your sexual orientation, for example? 

AP: Our appearances certainly affect the formation of our personalities. I think this happens because  the society treat appearance as a very large value and it’s also the society that form our personalities. Scientific theories proved that our sexual orientation is genetic inheritance and I really believe it.  At least in my case I would say that I’m lucky  to be born with a type of beauty that is consistent with my feelings.

F:你覺得女性特質對你的性格有甚麼作用?雌雄莫辨的美會影響你的性向嗎?例如哪些

AP:我們的外在肯定會對性格有所影響。我認為,這是社會對外表有極大的價值觀,同樣的我們的性格也構築社會。科學理論證明我們性向是天生的,我相信這點。而我自己的情況,我很幸運,天生擁有這樣的美貌而我的感受也是一致的。

Follow: Thinking about your childhood and teenage years,  when you started to think that  you could live at the same time in  women’s world and men’s world? 

AP: For me there is only one world for all races, all genders and all humans.

從童年到青少年時期,你從何時開始覺得自己是可以同時活在兩性之間的?
對我來說,只有一個世界,所有種族,所有性別和所有人類。

Follow: Do you see yourself as a man or as a woman or, both?

AP: If someone can explain to me what it means to be one or to be the other, perhaps I can respond to the question.

你自認自己是男性還是女性,或是兩者都是?

如果有人能像我解釋做自己或是成為某個人是甚麼意思,我可能才有辦法回答。

Follow: Have you already kissed a girl?

AP: But of course! If you’ve never kissed a girl, you have not yet lived.

你跟女孩子接吻過嗎?
當然有!如果你沒親過女生你就白活了。

Follow: How do your family see your work or your lifestyle?

AP: I have a wonderful relationship with my family and they are very supportive. Especially with my mother, who has worked hard to support me at the beginning of my  career.

家人怎麼看待你的工作和打扮?
我有一個情感親密的家庭,而他們都很支持我。尤其是我媽,從我開始這份工作就一直支持著我。

Follow: Talking about the beginning of your career, how did you become a model?

AP: At the beginning, I was following the Jenny Craig’s weight loss program in Australia. (laughs)

說一下你職業生涯的開始吧。你是怎麼成為模特?
在澳洲,從跟隨Jenny Craig的減重計畫開始。(笑)

Follow: Which had been the works that you have enjoyed to do so far?

AP: My editorial for Vogue Paris, the campaign of Marc Jacobs, Haute Couture week, and of course to participate in the SPFW.

到目前為有哪些工作是你很樂在其中的?
法國版Vogue的editorial,Marc Jacobs的廣告大片,高訂時裝週,當然還有SPFW。

FOLLOW: What influences your style? Who are your muses, and references from books to movies, music and icons of beauty?

AP: I love the 80’s. I’m a fan to the style of Leigh Bowery and people like David Bowie and Amanda Lear. I love to read classics by Charles Dickens and Tolstoy. And my favorite movies are: Citizen K., Black Cat White Cat and Boys Don’t Cry.

你的風格受甚麼影響? 誰你的繆斯,還有哪些書籍、電影和音樂代表美的指標?

我熱愛80年代。我是Leigh Bowery風格的粉絲,還有人們喜愛的 David Bowie以及 Amanda Lear。我愛讀狄更斯和列夫·托爾斯泰的經典作品。我最愛的電影是:Citizens K、Black Cat White Cat和男孩別哭。

Follow: It’s  official you have made the history of the fashion industry as the first very androgynous model. Have you thought about how influential you have became?

AP: It is not nice to think about your fame. Obviously there are moments of self-worship, but it is not a very healthy attitude. It’s very important to stop and give yourself a slap to keep your feet on ground. It’s so nice to think that from now, in a few decades, people will remember what is happening now and perhaps by then, they will admire me.

你是公認第一位在時尚界成功的雌雄莫辨模特。你怎麼看待你帶起的影響力?

想著自己的名氣不是好事。顯然人都有自己感覺良好的時候,這不個正向的態度。有時你得停下腳步,賞自己一巴掌讓自己腳踏實地些。但從現在開始,在這幾10年間,人們會記得那時發生的事,或許那時他們會欣賞我。

FOLLOW: Plans for the future?

AP: It would be not bad to spend a time in a field. A deserved rest to the model that is two in one.

未來計畫?

在田野消磨時間也不錯。作為模特能有休息時間是應得的。
