Out magazine fashion editor Brent Austin Coover scored an interview with the model of moment, Andrej Pejic. The two men spoke backstage at New York Fashion Week while Pejic was being prepped for the runway. The 19-year-old cover boy was his usual cagey and enigmatic self, but did have a message for gay youth exploring femininity, saying “It’s ok to be different. It’s nothing you should suppress.” As far as anti-gay bullies go, Pejic says “build your armor” and “open up minds.”
