2012-3-6 Androdynous Model Rules the Runway

This post is perhaps a month too late, but I thought it was something I feel compelled to write really about. As all fashionista's know Andrei Pejic famous for his androgynous look. Has taken over runways around the world not to mention magazine covers and is now the face Jean Paul Gaultier's latest fragrance. He has also become somewhat of a muse of Gaultier, closing out his women's wear line.Peijic refuses to define his sexual identity which is only helping further his career. Therefore, he has walked in many shows dressed in both men and women shows, his androgynous looks makes him all the more appealing to the fashion industry. Hense why I love the industry, aside from models having to be a certain size, anything goes in the fashion world. You can do or be whatever you want and will not be judged. show as this past Not to mention he walked the runways every well-known designer looking like both a man and a women. Seeing as he was most recently seen on the cover of Fashion Magazine's February edition dressed in Canadian designer, Lucian Matis lent his tulle dress for not only the cover shoot with Peijic but as a designer giveaway for the Canadian Mag.Peijic has most recently been named one of the top models to keep an eye on as his ‘star' is rising fast.

Here is my question to you, the fashion industry is accepting of someone who can look like both a beautiful man and a fabulous women, why can't regular society do the same? Why can't we accept everyone for who they are? I can't tell you how many times I have been walking and there is clearly a many in the middle of transition and someone around me has to say something. Let this person be who they want to be. Why would we judge, we don't judge that Fashion Magazine has put a man on the cover dressed as a women. In fact I find in liberating knowing that a Canadian magazine did this, it makes me yet again proud to be Canadian. What do you think?
