BROADY Boy turned James Blond, Andrej Pejic, did not disappoint at Myer's gala 100th birthday store opening last night.

The male model turned heads on the red carpet by arriving with jewelled Yeojin Bae leggings, Helena Bonham Carter-inspired hair and his proud mum, Jadranka, on his arm.

Pejic certainly had a fan in the original boy from Broadmeadows - Eddie McGuire.
"I certainly haven't seen him on the last train to Broady but we Broady boys stick together. He said yesterday he loved me and it's reciprocal," McGuire said.

Yummy mummy Natalie Bassingthwaighte glowed in Nina May. But her lips were sealed about her reported deal as the new X Factor judge.

Molly Meldrum recalled his days working in the men's department when he proposed to colleague Sandy Preen - his plus one for the night.

At the time, Preen replied, "are you mad?".Hugh Sheridan brought former Packed to the Rafters wife Zoe Ventoura back from the dead for the gala.

So Myer celebrated its 100th birthday, simultaneously unveiling the A$300million Bourke Street flagship store revamp, with a million dollar party last night.

Arguably the biggest star of the night was Melbourne modelling sensation Andrej Pejic accompanied by his proud mum Jadranka Savic, who looked beautiful in a custom-made black Grecian-style gown by Jane Lamerton.

Kitted out in embellished gold trousers and tuxedo jacket by Yeojin Bae and towering black platform boots, Pejic's extravagant up-do was inspired, he told The Melbourne Herald Sun, by Helena Bonham Carter's character Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Noted Pejic, "I watched it on the plane and I'm like, that's the hair that I want".
